Bad command. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaay...
Another crazed day. Been going without a break since ~0745 (and it's 1630 now). Nuts.
Memory is so flimsy. It's been my experience over the last ten years that about 25% of all the RAM one obtains is either bad out of the box or will go bad very shortly. That was borne out today, when one of four purchased 256MB sticks caused me an amazing wild goose chase after POST beep codes and so forth. Stupid RAM.
Got a total of 512MB in my own work desktop now, though. That's nice - I was encountering periodic o-o-m errors when I opened too many apps. XP does its best, but is just not up to the challenge of providing me the several GB I really need via swapping. So that'll be better.
I have three hard drives formatting right now - big ones, too, 120GB IBM drives. It takes a while and that's the only reason I'm able to come in here and actually post something. After this I'm going to get a drink and a smoke and hopefully be outta here for the day before too many more hours have passed.
