We're leaving now (Sierra and I) to go watch Women's World Cup soccer in Portland this afternoon. Should be fun... hope the weather cooperates. It's dreary here this morning.

Made it in finally - not bad seats, behind the Russian first-half goal. Germany already scored in the 25th minute.

At the half, Germany 1:0 Russia.

It's now 6:1 Germany and Russia is hopelessly outclassed. Wait. 7:1 Germany. 2 minutes of stoppage time and this one's in the books.

That's how it ended - 7:1 Germany. Fun to watch. We're sitting right in the middle of the Chinese contingent, with a bunch of Canada fans right behind us. This is going to be fun... The China fans have a bunch of big drums.

At the half, Canada 1:0 China. We're having a grand time trying to scream over the China crowd. Go Canada! This is the smoking area on the west side of the stadium, extremely crowded.

15 minutes left, Canada still on top. Oh my god this is so exciting.
