@976 (2:26pm) Strogg Must Die!

I picked up Quake 4 today at Best Buy - I was returning the 360 VGA cable I bought and ended up exchanging it for the game instead. I played the demo (which I downloaded via Live - so cool) and it really looks amazing, though it's more of the same old gameplay. It'll be fun to get in some DM in that, though.

I bought the VGA cable originally because the Xbox put us over the limit on the number of component inputs on our TV. We're not using the DVI/HDMI input on the TV, though... but, strangely enough, Microsoft doesn't sell a DVI adapter for the 360. They say they will when they "see a need for it." Every person I've spoken to who owns a 360 says, "I wish they'd hurry up and make that DVI cable cause it sucks having to get a switcher or run one of my component devices with S-Video or composite insted." So Microsoft is stupid. Anyway, I've noticed you can get VGA-DVI adapters via Ebay or whatever, so I thought I'd get the VGA cable and then get an adapter and do it that way. 'Course, once I actually started researching I see that this method is chancy at best - to really do it correctly you have to buy this honkin' converter box that costs $349. So, yeah, instead I bought a component switcher for $89, which works fine. So I had the VGA cable. Which means I now have Q4.

If I was any more wordy, you'd have to start calling me "Oeddy."

I'm so blasted clever.
