I have a bunch of stuff to tell you about. Lucky bugger.
First: Pandora. If you haven't seen this, it's very cool. It's a sort of collaborative radio station thing - you tell it a band you like and it plays you stuff that "feels like" your band. You tell it whether you liked that song or not as it plays, and it keeps track of that and refines what it plays you based on a bunch of stuff. It uses things like tonal quality, syncopation, types of instruments, weighting towards vocals or instrumentals, etc. I'm listening to a channel that I started with DMB and has so far wandered through a bunch of kick-ass music I've never heard of before. (Edit): Also check out Pandora Stations, which answers one of the first questions I had: "Can I share these stations with friends?" Cool.
Second: Speaking of DMB, that's this coming weekend. We're leaving Thursday for Wild Horses and will be staying through Saturday. I can't wait; it's so what I need right now. If you're going to be there, come find us. Call me. Whatever.

Sierra made this. My girls are amazing.
Fourth: I bought Deb The Complete Office, including both seasons and the special of the original English show. Now, the Steve Carell version is hilarious, but this one leaves it sniffing for laughs. Ricky Gervais is fucking brilliant. I thought no one could make me cringe like Carell does, but ohmigod.
Fifth: I bought myself the first two seasons of Battlestar Galactica and that rocks as well. I've been watching the show via DVR here and there as I could, but it's just unmatched to watch it from the beginning and in order. I just read the book based on the miniseries screenplay, and it's so great to watch the miniseries now because they imagined almost everything exactly right. Also, there's a Firefly in the opening Caprica City scene, which fucking rules.
Speaking of Firefly... I love that show, and I can't believe they killed Wash in Serenity. Fuckerers.
