Sometimes I think I understand everything. Then I regain consciousness.
I've just spent about an hour, a really fun-filled hour, browsing the online catalog of American Science & Surplus, which consists of page after page of stuff that you have no use for but really really want to buy anyway, just for the sheer novelty of it all. From WWII-era European military clothing to Eastern Bloc optics and electronics, to strange boxes of square nails with Swiss flags on them. Bizarre and entirely interesting.
