@811 (10:28am) Happy birthday Maddie

It's my youngest's birthday today, her 7th. We're going to the Bainbridge Aquatic Center for her party, which is cool as the place is like a little water park - got a couple slides, a "rushing river", jacuzzis, etc. Fun for kids.

I haven't called Best Buy yet to see if they actually had 360's or not. I'm guessing they did and there are 24 lucky new 360 owners in Kitsap County today.

Off to the store to buy more christmas lights to replace the giant pile that the stupid dog ate. Seriously... the dog ate my christmas lights, 5 years worth of purchases. Unbelievable.

The Best Buy in Bellevue had about 45 in stock today. People waited in line all night, so by the time I got to Best Buy this morning there wasn't shit left.

Looks like it will have to be after Xmas.

Actually, I heard some interesting news at Fred Meyer this morning. Apparently our local store here has been getting them for the last month at the rate of 5-10 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. They had 8 go on sale yesterday morning and they were gone by 7:30am. They don't get them every delivery day, but he said they've only missed a couple days since the thing was premiered. I think I'll go by there Tuesday morning, just to see what's up with that.

Happy Birthday to the kid.

Any luck on the xbox front?

Nothing yet. My wife has informed me that I should pretty much stop looking for one, as that's supposed to be my christmas present and if I were to buy one, that would be a bad thing. I'm pretty positive she hasn't gotten one, but she's still working on it.

I have a feeling we're mostly competing with employees calling friends and family as soon as they see them in the stock room.

Yeah. The Fred Meyer thing is pretty intriguing... according to the little lady, she's been calling them (and about 5 other stores) every morning as they open, and the local Fred Meyer has yet to say that they have any at all. So someone's lying.

I dunno, maybe she already got me one and is the one pulling the wool over my eyes, but I don't think so. I think you're right and the employees are screwing with us.

Maybe, just maybe it's time for us to socialize the market. Let the government decide what we buy.

I agree, this is all too stressful. I want someone to tell me what to buy, or preferably to just provide everything I need in a weekly delivery. I love getting stuff delivered.
